AllenCAD comes with the AllenTile addin. This addin automatically fits a countertop onto the media being used. To demonstrate this addins features, run this installation, import a countertop dxf file. Select File -> Allen DirectCut Tiling from menu. Select the objects for the countertop and press enter key. Several tiling solutions are displayed and can be selected using the media usage sort drop down box. You may change media width or margin and redo the search. You may also select from 3 different tile line features. Upon purchase of the addin you can either cut the countertop directly from the addin or export the tiles back into AllenCAD for additional editing. Build 7 adds support for 60 inch wide material, true type font outlines, and a cut line at end of job.

Drawning on Template
Abstract: This technical support bulletin describes the new features of AllenCAD 7.2. The combine command takes two files show with the measuring device and rotates and positions them in the same drawing. The cleanup function takes two lines that are in the resultant file and joins them together. The Draw European Cut Line allows placing a special line in the countertop to force a split at the line. The auto dimension adds dimension text along lines in the drawing.
